Internal Tool
PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: March 8, 2025 | Peacock Bookkeeping Services LLC
1. WHAT DATA WE ACCESS
Our internal automation tool accesses QuickBooks Online (“QBO”) transaction data on behalf of clients who have authorized such access. This includes bank transactions, invoices, expenses, account balances, and related financial records needed to perform bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting services.
2. HOW DATA IS STORED
All client financial data retrieved through this tool is stored locally on secured systems owned and operated by Peacock Bookkeeping Services LLC. Access credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We do not store client data in public cloud environments or on servers outside of our direct operational control beyond what the QBO platform itself retains.
3. HOW DATA IS USED
Data accessed through this tool is used exclusively to provide bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting services to the client whose data is being accessed. It is not used for marketing, analytics, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the direct delivery of bookkeeping services. Each client’s data is accessed only under their explicit authorization.
4. NO SELLING OR SHARING
Peacock Bookkeeping Services LLC does not sell, rent, trade, license, or share client financial data with any third party for any reason. We have no advertising partnerships, data brokerage relationships, or arrangements that would involve sharing client data with outside organizations. Your financial information stays within our practice.
5. DATA RETENTION
Client data is retained only as long as needed to fulfill active bookkeeping engagements and meet applicable record-keeping requirements. When an engagement ends, data access is revoked and locally stored records are deleted or securely archived in accordance with standard accounting practice.
